Watch a Virtual Town Hall Session

In August of 2021, delegates to the 33rd Constituency Session were invited to participate in virtual town hall sessions which were aimed to be an orientation meeting for the upcoming in-person meeting (if you are a delegate and you didn’t receive an invitation via email, please email gsc-communications@gscsda.org or call 334-272-7493 x115).

The meeting has been divided into chapters, use the “chapter” button next to the gear icon in the player to navigate to specific parts of the presentation. Alternatively you can use the highlight points on the play progress bar along the bottom of the player.

If you have a question or concern that you would like to share with the administration of the conference, or any other employee of Gulf States, please scroll down and fill out the form or reach out to us using any of the listed communication methods.

What will the day look like?

PARKING

Parking will be available on-site at the conference office. Drivers may offload their occupants near the door and drive around the office (counter-clockwise) to secure their parking spot. Paved parking will be limited, and many will be reserved for vehicles with appropriate disability parking placards. Additional parking will be available on the unpaved grounds at the office.

Registration

When you arrive at the office, proceed through the main entrance on the South side of the building. When looking at the front of the office, use the door on the right. Upon entering the foyer, provide your name to a clerk at the registration desk and you’ll receive your name badge, information packet, and a paper voting device. Exit the foyer through the door to the West or through the ABC and proceed to the tent area on the West side of the building.

The meeting will be held outdoors under tents, dress casually and appropriate for the weather. Registration and certain committee meetings will take place indoors. Masks are recommended anytime you are inside the office.

Additionally, if you have an elevated temperature or are feeling ill, please do not come to the meeting. Work with your pastor to send an alternate delegate. We also ask that you respect the personal space of others and refrain from hugs and handshakes if that is their desire.

Agenda Item

Proposed Constitution and By-Law Update

The need for alternative types of meetings has become apparent around the world over the last two years. As a result, virtual meetings are now commonplace at every level of all kinds of organizational structures. In addition, these virtual meetings are helpful to provide access to sessions for those that would traditionally need to travel long distances, among other circumstances. This proposed update to the constitution and by-laws of the Gulf States Conference aims to meet this growing need.
